Low Voltage Design Engineer 

Ramirez, Johnson, & Associates (RJA) is a growing MEP engineering firm located in Denver’s RiNo District. We’re looking for a Low Voltage Design Engineer to join our team and take ownership of structured cabling and technology systems design across a variety of commercial projects.

If you enjoy coordinating complex systems, working in BIM environments, and seeing your designs carried through construction, this is an opportunity to grow within a collaborative, technically focused team.

What You’ll Do:

• Design structured cabling systems (Cat6/fiber) for voice, data, and video networks
• Lay out infrastructure for A/V, access control, CCTV, and building automation systems
• Develop drawings, riser diagrams, and equipment schedules using Revit and AutoCAD
• Coordinate telecom rooms (MDF/IDF), pathways, and equipment layouts
• Integrate low voltage systems into BIM models for coordinated construction
• Ensure compliance with NEC, TIA/EIA, and applicable industry standards
• Support construction teams through RFIs and submittal reviews

What You Bring:

• 5–10 years of experience in low voltage or technology systems design
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (required)
• Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI)
• Familiarity with A/V, security, and building automation systems
• Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
• RCDD certification preferred
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and continuous improvement

Pay: $95,000–$115,000 depending on experience
