Electrical Engineer / Technical Lead 

Ramirez, Johnson, & Associates (RJA) is a growing MEP engineering firm in Denver’s RiNo District. We’re seeking a senior Electrical Engineer to serve as the technical lead for our electrical department—someone who wants to shape design standards, mentor engineers, and help guide the future direction of the firm.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex electrical and building systems challenges, improving design quality, and developing strong, capable teams.


What You’ll Lead and Design:

  • Electrical power, lighting, and low-voltage system design for complex commercial and specialty buildings
  • Technical oversight of high-impact projects from concept through construction
  • Design reviews, quality control, and technical guidance for project teams
  • Mentorship and development of junior and mid-level engineers
  • Collaboration with architects, owners, and internal discipline leads

Your Leadership Impact:

  • Establish and evolve electrical design standards and best practices
  • Support project teams with technical strategy and system-level problem solving
  • Help drive innovation in power distribution, lighting design, and building performance
  • Influence tools, workflows, and engineering processes across the firm
  • Partner closely with firm leadership on growth and technical direction

What We’re Looking For:

  • 9+ years of electrical engineering experience in building systems or MEP design
  • PE license preferred
  • Strong technical judgment in power, lighting, and building systems design
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Passion for mentoring and continuous improvement

Pay: $105,000–$130,000 depending on experience
